Each glass, which sells for $26, is approximately 10 inches tall and eight inches across the top, and comes in its own collector's box decorated to match. Leaha Shaughnessy says many customers buy one of each type of glass, and then get the 12-inch pitcher ($55), painted with all of the delectable fruit designs, to match. Fleur de Lis also carries hand painted martini, wine and beer glasses by the same manufacturer. Shaughnessy recommends hand washing the glasses and pitcher. A note on the web site of an online source for Lolita glasses says that the materials used for decoration may contain lead or cadmium. If you're looking to add a touch of homey elegance to your kitchen or bar, check out the line of copper sinks available at Cabinet Trends in Middletown. The hammered copper patina of these sinks is warm and attractive, and hides dents and scratches well. The "living finish" darkens over time, adding to the appeal of the natural surface, and designer Sarah Pryor notes that copper is a less hospitable environment for bacteria than, say, stainless steel, making it a health-promoting surface as well. A large, under mount, apron-front farm-style sink is approximately 34 inches wide, with the exposed front eight to nine inches high, and is priced at $3,000. Smaller bar sinks measure 15 by 15 to 18 inches, and cost $500 to $600. Pryor says weathered antique copper or oil-rubbed bronze faucets and handles make a perfect finishing accent for these unusual sinks. We can thank a very pale yellow Argentinean grape for the pleasure of Mapema Sauvignon Blanc 2007, which comes in a bottle with a beautiful, bright orange label. According to John Johnson, owner and sommelier of The Wine Rack on Frankfort Avenue, Mapema Winery is located in Mendoza, Argentina, and harvests the grapes for this sauvignon blanc at a vineyard 3900 feet above sea level in Tupungato. Johnson says 92 percent of the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks, with eight percent aging in second-use French oak for just three months. The resulting wine has intense aromas of white peach, lemon zest and grapefruit, along with subtle floral notes. It produces a zesty acidity, with vibrant peach, melon and lemon lime flavors. Johnson calls the wine simultaneously full-bodied and crisp, with a lingering finish. He says it's a perfect match with white fish, scallops, shrimp or swordfish on the grill. The Mapema Sauvignon Blanc is new to The Wine Rack, but is proving quite popular. The current price is $12.99. Salud! Create a lovely amber glow indoors with agate stone light fixtures available at Brecher's Lighting on South Hurstbourne Parkway. Polished, translucent fossil stones in an orange-y/amber color are hand-set in copper, much the way the pieces of colored glass create the warm glow of a Tiffany lamp. Susan Humphress, showroom manager at Brecher's, says these unusual fixtures come in a variety of sizes--from a seven-inch diameter mini cone pendant that's perfect for accent lighting, to a 19-inch fixture that could be a primary light source, and an extravagant 42-inch piece that combines both the agate stones and art glass. The stones are all hand selected and polished, and the fixtures reflect meticulous craftsmanship. No two are exactly alike. The agate stone light fixtures range in price from approximately $180 for the small pendants to $500 and up for the larger pieces. Add a bright touch to all your favorite summer dishes by preparing and presenting them in Spanish-inspired ceramic Chantal bakeware glazed in Curry Yellow or orange-y Cinnabar. Pieces come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including scalloped nine by 13-inch and 11 by 17-inch rectangular casseroles or round baking dishes. All hold temperature and bake beautifully, says Emma Jean Coombs of Campbell's Gourmet Cottage in the Woodland Center on Hubbards Lane in St. Matthews. The bakeware is microwave and dishwasher safe, and Coombs says the non-porous ceramic glaze that won't react with food or flavors makes them great for healthy cooking and baking as well. Chantal bakeware starts at $13.99 for the nine by 13-inch casserole.

American Bungalow Mercer Curry Chair
Frank Sinatra's favorite color was orange--the most cheerful of colors, he is reputed to have said, according to Tom Lowenthal, general manager of Cherry House Furniture Galleries in North Hurstbourne Parkway in the Forum Center. Old Blue Eyes would have loved to curl up in the Vanguard Mercer Curry upholstered wing chair. Lowenthal notes that orange is this season's emerging color, part of the bright, new palette on display at the recent International Home Furnishings Market. But don't let the term "wing chair" put you in mind of a traditional piece of furniture. With a high back that wraps around, the chair, says Lowenthal, is more of a transitional, "soft contemporary" piece that's in high demand among the under-40 set. The cotton-y fabric is durable and adds to the comfort of this sophisticated, fashion-forward design. The Mercer Curry Chair retails for $1,800, but Cherry House sells it for $1,350--or less if you catch it there at one of their frequent sales.
